About

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is a genetic disorder that primarily affects the skin and nervous system. Depending on the case, several other systems may also be affected. Now an adult, Gabrielle returns to CHU Sainte-Justine to tell us how she managed to overcome all the pitfalls. She explains that there’s a big difference between having an illness and being considered ill. We invite you to discover her story and, above all, her philosophy of life, shaped by years of taming neurofibromatosis.
