Since its very beginnings, the ANFQ has been proud to bring together more than 300 members who contribute to the association’s reputation, and who, above all, are dedicated to raising awareness of NF and breaking down the taboos that surround it. Over the years, we have become a loyal community that supports each other on a daily basis. We welcome all new ANFQ members who are committed to making a difference in the lives of people affected by NF. Together, we have the power to achieve our goals and support our mission!
Why become a member of the Association de la neurofibromatose du Québec?
By joining our community, you have access to several benefits depending on your member profile (see categories below). However, there are some basic benefits that you automatically enjoy when you become a member:
- The right to attend the Annual General Meeting and make your voice heard;
- The opportunity to join the Administrative Board (AB);
- Voting rights to elect representatives;
- Receive a monthly newsletter, containing a wealth of information on NF, association activities and related topics;
- The right to participate in our many social activities and services.;
Membership of the ANFQ is free. However, when you apply, we invite you to make a donation if you wish.

Membership categories
NF patients
NF patients who are members of ANFQ benefit from several advantages, such as access to the services offered by the association, being part of a community and breaking isolation by sharing experiences and testimonials, taking advantage of social events and scientific conferences on the disease, and being directed to the right resources.
Family and friends
Family and friends of people with NF who are members of the ANFQ benefit from a number of advantages, such as: access to tools to help them understand NF, involvement in the cause while making a difference in the lives of those affected, the opportunity to volunteer with the association; and the support offered by the ANFQ.
Healthcare professionals
Health professionals and researchers who are members of the ANFQ enjoy many benefits, such as access to funding for research projects, direct access to patients and the chance to rub shoulders with them outside the hospital, networking and knowledge-sharing, and participation in social events and scientific conferences on the disease.
Educational professionals
Educational professionals who are members of the ANFQ enjoy a number of advantages, such as access to an information kit on what to look out for and to a bank of resources (including access to an NF social worker), the opportunity to attend annual conferences aimed specifically at people who come into contact with members of the NF community and who want to learn more about the disease, its effects on learning, self-acceptance, exploring how to foster tolerance, and carry out schooling in the presence of complex issues.
General public
Members of the general public who become ANFQ members also enjoy a number of benefits, such as taking advantage of social events (with the exception of activities reserved for people with NF), being part of a close-knit community, volunteering and helping ANFQ organize its various events.
